About Star Wars
Star Wars is one of the most successful science fiction if not the most successful science fiction flicks of all time. It's not that Star Wars competes with the Matrix, it's that the Matrix competes with it.

With the original movie released in 1977, Star Wars has attracted a huge fan following. In 2004 when the DVD boxset with the original three films was released, it made Amazon.co.uk's top 10 most popular within 24 hours - 5 months before it came out!

Star Wars comes from the allmighty George Lucas who has also been involved in Indiana Jones, the Land Before Time and even Willow (ok not that famous but it was done with Ron Howard!).

In 2003 (or maybe 2004) Star Wars was voted the best film of all time in Channel 4's 100 Greatest films of all time beating the Godfather part 1 and 2.
